Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to take full ownership of our growing ecommerce department, driving performance across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on Shopify. This is a strategic leadership position that involves optimising our online stores in the UK and Europe, ensuring a seamless user experience, and maximising conversions. There is also the potential to expand onto additional platforms based on market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ecommerce Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy that aligns with overall business objectives, driving customer acquisition and retention. Lead the ecommerce department, taking accountability for its performance and growth.

  • Platform Management:

Oversee and improve Shopify and other relevant ecommerce platforms, tailored to country-specific requirements for both the UK and European markets.

  • Backend Management:

Handle all backend operations including product uploads, catalog optimisations, and website updates. Ensure smooth technical performance across all platforms.

  • User Experience & Conversion Optimisation:

Enhance user experience by analysing customer behavior and streamlining the sales funnel to improve conversions and drive revenue.

  • Automation & Efficiency:

Implement automation tools and workflows to improve operational efficiency, enhance the customer journey, and reduce manual tasks.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with marketing, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless ecommerce operations, integrated marketing campaigns, and consistent customer experiences.

  • Analytics & Reporting:

Utilise analytics tools to monitor website performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvements. Report on sales, conversion rates, customer behaviour, and other relevant metrics.

  • Customer Retention & Loyalty:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty, including personalised marketing campaigns, customer feedback initiatives, and loyalty programs.

  • Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a small team of ecommerce specialists, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven Ecommerce Experience: At least 3 years of experience in ecommerce management, ideally within Shopify, including platform management and backend operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of backend systems, product cataloging, UX/UI best practices, and ecommerce platform integrations. Experience with other platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyse data and trends, utilising tools like Google Analytics and other ecommerce analytics platforms to drive actionable insights and improve conversion rates.
  • Automation & Efficiency Tools: Experience with ecommerce automation tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Omnisend) and CRM systems to streamline operations and improve the customer experience.
  • Leadership & Ownership: A proactive, hands-on leader who takes ownership and drives results. Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Excellent problem-solving skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable to support our European market operations.
  • Educational Background (Preferred): Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications in digital marketing or ecommerce are a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales Growth: Monitor and drive consistent year-over-year growth in ecommerce sales.
  • Conversion Rates: Optimise the sales funnel and improve website conversion rates.
  • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): Focus on improving CLV through retention strategies and personalised experiences.
  • Average Order Value (AOV): Implement strategies to increase AOV and drive higher-value purchases.
  • Website Traffic & Engagement: Track and analyse website traffic, bounce rates, and user engagement metrics to ensure ongoing improvements.

What We Offer:

  • Career Growth & Development: Coffee King is committed to supporting your professional development and growth within the company. As the ecommerce department expands, so will your opportunities.
  • Inclusive & Collaborative Culture: Join a dynamic, forward-thinking team where creativity and collaboration are highly valued. We pride ourselves on our inclusive work environment and dedication to sustainability.
