There is a difference between coffee that is strong and coffee that is expressive. Barista Premium is both — but it is the expressiveness that defines it. The flavour builds rather than simply hits: caramel sweetness arrives first, clean and warm on the initial extraction. Hazelnut character develops through the body, adding a gentle nuttiness that deepens the cup. Then a long, rich cocoa note settles on the finish and stays there. Three distinct stages, in sequence, every time. That is not a happy accident of roasting. It is the result of designing the blend around a specific cup experience and working backwards until every variable delivers it.

The roast level is the decision that makes it possible. Medium-dark, not full dark — a deliberate choice that preserves the origin's layered sweetness while still building the espresso authority that the blend needs. Full dark roasts achieve boldness by burning through complexity; what remains is roast flavour, consistent but flat. By stopping at medium-dark, Barista Premium keeps both: the intensity you expect from a Strength 4 espresso, and the caramel-hazelnut-cocoa architecture that makes each cup worth slowing down for.

The Robusta in this blend earns its place in the cup. It drives the crema — that rich, persistent golden layer that signals a well-extracted shot. It adds structural backbone so the blend cuts cleanly through steamed milk without fading into it. The Arabica from Brazil, Latin America and India contributes the sweetness and aromatic complexity that the three-stage profile is built on. Together they create an espresso that performs as well in a flat white or cappuccino as it does as a straight shot — the caramel and hazelnut notes holding beautifully through textured milk.
