We started with the cup. Then we found the bean.
Most coffee is built around convention. 'Italian' means dark roast, heavy bitterness, and beans roasted until the origin has nothing left to say. We looked at that tradition — and chose a better result for you.
Coffee King Italian Gourmet is grown at 900–1,350 metres above sea level in Brazil and Central America. At altitude, beans ripen slowly, building natural sugars and flavour complexity deep into the crop. We medium roast them — not to strip that character away, but to unlock it.
The result is a full-bodied cup with a syrupy mouthfeel and distinct notes of milk chocolate, caramel and praline sweetness on the finish. Strength 3/5: confident and rounded without tipping into bitterness. Pulls a beautiful espresso. Shines in a flat white. The caramel sweetness lifts perfectly against steamed milk in a cappuccino.
Available as whole beans — grind fresh to get the best from every cup. Works across espresso machines, moka pots, cafetières, filter brewers and AeroPress.
