La Perruche - Brown Cane Sugar Cubes 1kg

La Perruche Brown Sugar Cubes are rough-cut, irregular cubes made from 100% pure cane sugar. The result is a slightly caramelised, sweeter taste and a fruitier aroma than regular sugar, with warm notes of bourbon vanilla and caramel. The cubes are broken into different shapes and sizes, with a crunchy grain that dissolves slowly and delicately in hot drinks.

The cane is grown on Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, a French overseas department. The island's volcanic soil, Trade Wind climate and pure water sources suit sugar cane well. Harvesting and pressing take place between July and December, and the cane comes from family-run plantations using traditional methods that support the local economy. La Perruche (French for "the parakeet") has been making sugar since 1890.

The natural golden colour comes from the pure cane juice, with no artificial colouring, additives or processing agents. The cubes are suitable for vegans and vegetarians and come in a 1kg presentation box, made from fully recyclable cardboard.

Use them to sweeten a morning espresso or afternoon tea, or to finish desserts. The box also makes a good gift, and the cubes are well suited to home use, cafés and restaurants.
